Hanging Plant Jug
When I was a kid, my dad was hired by a cottage owner in the area to empty his newly purchased cottage, which was purchased AS IS (completely furnished). The cottage was filled with mid-century treasures - solid wood furniture, one-of-a-kind artwork, teak, new old stock - all covered in plastic and in pristine condition - straight from the 50s. It was a treasure trove where my dad and I truly bonded over our shared love for hunting treasures. My dad let my siblings and I visit the cottage with the furniture still in place, letting us to pick out anything we wanted. My stack of chosen items was the largest, and to this day, I still cherish many pieces, attributing my deep appreciation for mid-century design to that magical experience.
