Irregular Tansy platter
Through my Wildflower line of pottery, I hope to weave a story. Drawing from my upbringing, growing up in the forest, studies in botany, and personal deep-dives into herbalism. Every piece is hand-built, with delicate wildflowers sourced locally and pressed into the clay with care. Following the initial creation, the platter undergoes a bisque firing, hand painting with underglaze, a careful, wet sponge cleaning to leave colour only in the flower imprint and a subsequent firing to ensure lasting quality. A final touch of food-safe, gloss-clear glaze completes the piece, encapsulating the beauty of local flora.
