Irregular Wildflower Platter
Through my Wildflower line of pottery, I hope to weave a story. Drawing from my upbringing, growing up in the forest, studies in botany, and personal deep-dives into herbalism, each plate is a canvas illustrating my life's path with artistic interpretation.
Every plate is hand-built, with delicate wildflowers sourced locally and pressed into the clay with care. Following the initial creation, the plate undergoes a bisque firing, hand painting with underglaze, and a subsequent firing to ensure lasting quality. A final touch of food-safe, gloss-clear glaze completes the piece, encapsulating the beauty of local flora.
My favourite part about getting these pieces into the hands of my customers is hearing about their purposes in your daily routine. From holding a wine bottle to housing hearing aids during a swim, serving as a storage spot for jewels, a soap dish, or a catch-all, the possibilities are endless.
